30 to 30:T-26

30 to 30:T-26

Today was grocery shopping day. Somehow I ended up spending $100 to the penny. I thought that was kind of odd.

One thing I've been thinking today is how blessed I am to be able to go to the grocery store and be able to buy the things we want and need. My family lived through the Good Friday tornado, and even then we were able to go to the store within hours after it happened to buy food and supplies. How many people in Haiti who have survived the earthquake will go without the necessities of life during the aftermath?

  1. Even dollar amounts always feel special somehow. 100 on the nose is pretty cool!

The Haiti situation is so sad. I was reading an article in our local paper talking about how the elderly from nursing homes have been ignored in relief efforts. Really depressing stuff. :(
