Sensory Overload

I went to the grocery store this morning to do my grocery shopping for Thanksgiving. I managed to go before the  Saturday rush, but I still have been experiencing sensory overload for the rest of the day. This is not unusual. When I make long shopping trips I often go into overload while I'm still at the store. I avoided that today, but since getting home I've had trouble with dealing with noise and movement. Anyway, because of that, this is all I will write for today. It's been about ten hours since I got home from the store, and I still can't process anything properly.

  1. I thought I was the only one with this problem! For me, the worst is department stores. I can't shop in them! I have to go to smaller stores without as many choices because I get anxious and overloaded with all the racks of clothes in department stores. I feel this way at the grocery store when the shelves are all messed up or there is a lot of inventory. I feel like a nutter, but oh well. :) I like going when they have freshly stocked everything and no one is there. That's the best. I can see and find everything I'm looking for and no one bugs me.

  2. For me it's target. I don't know what it is, but it is almost like every product in the whole store is calling out to me! Hope the house cleaning & thanksgiving cooking goes well.
